    Default Yellowsn0w in Ireland

Update on my experiences with the iPhone 3G YS Unlock:

Got 0.9.1 working but not reliable, i.e. power off etc would lose network and lots of hassle to get back.

So restored with 2.2 fw (2.28.00), quickpwn 2.2-1 for win, added cydia and installer (no boot logo change) and activated.

iPhone is one of the first gen 3g AT&T (MB046LL)

Cydia loaded and updated as per std requests, then BossPrefs and Yellowsn0w 0.9.4 added via cydia.

    Then followed instructions below.
    1. Install BossPrefs and Yellowsn0w from Cydia
    2. Disable everything in BossPrefs
    3. Reboot your iPhone using BossPrefs
    4. Wait 1.30 min when you see lockscreen (no real need to wait this long with 0.9.4 I believe but not harm!)
    5. Take your sim out and insert it

Worked! First time on new beta 0.9.4
Restored backup of contacts and sms messages via iTunes and restarted to confirm function.

Again worked first time after SIM removal trick. (or Airplane Mode activated for 2-3 secs)

    PS: No PIN on SIM

    SIMS Tested:

Vodafone Irl: Outgoing Calls: Yes, Incoming Calls: Yes, SMS: Yes, 3G Data: Yes

3 Irl: Outgoing Calls: Yes, Incoming Calls: Yes, SMS: Yes, 3G Data: Yes

Meteor: Outgoing Calls: Yes, Incoming Calls: Yes, SMS: Yes, 3G Data: Unknown

I had outgoing calls problem on 0.9.4. Updated to 0.9.5 and the unlock appears to be fully functional.

Using a Vodafone IE postpay sim in an O2 IE (un)locked phone model MB496B

Yeeh, I believe several people were having problems with Vodafone on 0.9.4.

Updated to 0.9.5 and good service has continued. Looking good for this version

Can anyone help me out here !

I have a iphone 3G (Model MB046LL) that I cant get working with vodafone. i have jailbroken etc and added in yellowsnoe but it will never pick up vodafone sim. last test was with 2.2 and YS 0.96.

As i just have windows machine I'm slightly concerned about all warnings by dev team about not using quickpwn without pwning device first ! maybe this is step I'm missing out on. I'm going to try and bring device back to 2.0.2 and use winpwn to pwn it and then use a custom ipsw to bring to either 2.2 or 2.2.1 !

Anybody had any issues with 3g and yellowsnow 0.96 or .97 ? I really must be one of last people to get it to work !

    Default my experience

I were in Ireland for 10 days a week before,
with my iphone 3g + my vodafone 3g sim card from Bulgaria.
My phone is from USA version 2.2 jailbroken with quickpwn 2.2-5 and unlocked by me with yellowsn0w 0.9.7.
Phone worked in vodafone, meteor, O2 roaming without any problem.
3g, gsm and data roaming worked perfect for me.
