I have been trying to unlock my friends 16gb on 2.28 but the twear for yellowsn0w does not appear. The source is right I double checked it even though quickpwn preinstalls it? It has been like this since yesterday. I have already jailbroke this particular phone a couple of times using dfu but still no luck

Yes, it's down; not only the Cydia source, the whole yellowsn0w.com domain is unreachable. The question is, why is it down? And if it's temporary, when will it be back?

I will try 'QuickSn0w 0.96' or '3gunlock by hacx' for now since my new iPhone 3G is still on 2.2. (those softwares are supposed to unlock the phone without the need for the yellowsn0w repository; they have yellowsn0w 0.96 packed.)

I'll give my feedback after I try them.

Haven't found any other way to install yellowsn0w yet.

ugh thats why..ive spent the last hr going crazy why the repo didn work.. i jailbroke mine to 2.2.1 and have 2.1 baseband.. but i need to install yellowsn0w..
