Yellowsn0w 0.9.7 now on Cydia for FW 2.2.1

this update works with firmware 2.2.1, and a new version of pwnage tool will be released shortly for MAC so create a custom ispw, upgrade thru itunes with it, and upgrade yellowsn0w and it will work
dev team does it again.
EDIT: but baseband must remain 2.28.00, so a custom ispw is still needed so baseband isnt upgraded.Last edited by tsoscottc; 01-30-2009 at 01:23 PM. Reason: fuuuu getting my facts straight.

From the Dev Team blog:
"0.9.7 yellowsn0w improves compatibility with with 2.2.1 system software. You need version 0.9.7 when you create an ipsw with PwnageTool and upgrade using that ipsw."
So the new version is for the 2.2.1 FW

If you don't upgrade to 2.2.1, and maintain the 2.2 Firmware, Is it advisable to upgrade to 0.9.7 YellowSn0w?
