Yellows0w in Spain
Hello from Spain.
A lot of Spanish users are reporting that Yellosn0w is not working with Vodafone Spain.
Vodafone Spain has a SIM start-up function that displays "Como Estas?" (How are you?) screen with an OK/Back option. Is should be a SIM Toolkit application menu.
Can it be the no working reason?

Yes, but it is not working. We think that it sohuld be the "Como estas?" message

No success either
Spent quite some time trying to get Voda ES going yesterday.
Seems to be some info on the dev-team blog now from user Tomillo:-
"Mine working since my first post.
Internet ok, send and receive calls ok. sms ok.
I had tried all methods and nothing.
I don't know how many time i wait ( i'm working now) but wen i do the airplane on-off suddenly appeared Operador vodafone ES.
Don't want to try again ( por si acaso ) "
"It's Contract card (white card with vodafone in red).
Yes, Como estas? in nokia phones. "
I'll try when I get home from work. could others post their experiences? - also new 0.9.3 beta, does anyone know the bugfixes/changes?

Voda ES works with 0.9.4
Signal comes up after reboot, no tricks required!
Lets hope it holds

What method did you use? Cydia download or Installer? I have tried various Terminal variations as well :S

Try this AmandaL
I used Cydia but I doubt whether it would make a difference.
Its fussy just booting with the Voda Sim - I found that this works every time for me.
1) Install yellowsn0w 0.9.4 (from Cydia)
2) Disable 3G and data roaming
3) Turn the phone off
4) Put in another SIM that boots with yellowsn0w (NOT the original carrier SIM though - o2 in my case) I used Yoigo/Movistar
5) Turn phone on - it will come up with Movistar signal
6) Swap for your Vodafone SIM
7) Signal appears
- I think this bypasses the 'Como Estas' message.
Let me know how you get on!

I've got a Movistar iPhone, just yellowsnowed it and going to try with my Voda ES chip tonight when I get home - will report back my findings...

Vodafone Spain SIM Card working perfectly here in Germany. Just tried one YellowSn0w command but it wasn't so necessary.
Dev-Team rule!
iPhone 3G / 16GB / Jailbroken v2.2 (Baseband 02.28.00, unlocked via yellowsn0w)
MacBook Pro 3,1 (OS X.5.6 working perfectly with DFU)
