    Arrow Updating to 3.X

    Hi,
    I have an iPhone 3G which is still version 2.2 with baseband 02.28.00.
    I did the unlocking and jailbreaking back in january 09 and have completely lost track about the updating. I have tried to find a way on how to do so, but there is just so much information that I have no idea where to even begin.

    So my question is: How do I get it to the newest version? (and if you could put it as simple as possible, 'cause I'm not that into this whole "hacking" scene )

    Version 2.2
    Baseband 02.28.00
    iTunes 9.0.3
    MAC OS X

    If there is anything else you need to know, just ask!

    I'd visit iClarified.com -- they have tutorials for every make and model iPhone as well as firmware / baseband revision. As your question is the same question asked by a lot of people daily, you'll likely also find a specific answer to your question already posted in these forums if you do a search.

    Thank you, I found this thread on iClarified.com, but when I try to restore my iPhone in iTunes I get this message: 'Iphone can not be restored, because the firmwarefile is not compatible'...

    Yes, it's finally working! I re-uninstalled iTunes and searched for some other files belonging to iTunes, reinstalled and it's restorting now!
