Unlocking 2.30.03 6.02 Bootloader
OK so I have an O2 locked iPhone 3G. Unfortunately I made a mistake of using QuickPwn which upgraded the firmware etc.
I now have 2.30.03 with6.02 bootloader (confirmed by BBUpdaterExtreme)
Question: Can I now use Pwnage Tool to create a custom IPSW and re-flash the iPhone to a lower bootloader and baseband for unlocking via Yellowsn0w ?
Or am I goosed until the next release of an unlock ? I presume they are concentrating on 3.0 as the next major unlock.....
Thanks !

Sorry to say, but you are stuck. The bootloader can't be downgraded and you are at 6.02. 5.8 would be the only one that allows to downgrade the baseband from 2.30 to 2.28. 2.28 would be the one that can be used with Yellowsn0w.

Thanks Volkspost for the reply.
So..do you realistically expect an unlock or do you think we will only see a new unlock once 3.0 has been released ?
Its not a major problem for me as I quite like the O2 package I have.

I doubt we will see anything from the Dev Team before the 3.0 release. Wont be a good idea to give Apple to many hints on exploits to close.
just my 2 cent
