    Default some clarifications

    1. The program resets the broadband _BY ITSELF_ after executing the unlock. There is no point in resetting it twice.

    2. The change does *NOT* stay between reboots. It's applied anew on every reboot.

    3. The compatibility check, is just what its name implies. It checks if the baseband version is 02.28.00. Nothing else. No point in running it unless you're unsure of the version.

    4. The "Unknown message: E3FF8000" error that some people are getting is not really unknown, it means the baseband was in the RESET state and not in the RECOVERED state it should be for the unlock to go on. Waiting might help.

    5. The "open: Resource busy" error that some people are getting is coming from the main function talking to the baseband. The device file it's using to talk is called "/dev/tty.debug". The modem will not get commands from multiple terminals, so only one yellowsn0w instance can talk to it at once. Thus, all other instances will probably fail opening the file with the error above.

That said, a GUI with a visual status would probably not be a bad idea. Something with 2 buttons: "unlock", "reset" and 2 state text fields: "current bb state: reset/recover" and "bb unlock status: on/off".

Default iPhone working on Vodafone Germany including 3G data

Vodafone Germany -> Phone, 3G data - all working

    Here's what I did:

    - install Vodafone Germany carrier profile from Installer
    - install yellowsn0w 0.9.5 from Cydia (Installer works too)
    - insert vodafone.de SIM
    - turn off 3G data
    - reboot
    - wait until Vodafone displays with signal from the carrier
    - turn on 3G data

yellowsn0w seems to have a problem performing the unlock if 3G data is enabled, but 3G data can be enabled after the unlock and it works fine. When I had 3G enabled on reboot, I always received a "SIM Failure - invalid SIM" message which did not go away.

all right then, I got it working now, but how do I get that Vodafone Germany carrier profile? what exactly do I need to look for or to type in in installer? I got a vodafone flatrate, how do I make that work, do I have to type in something in APN etc.???

oh I forgot to mention one thing: my 3g is enabled but it just shows a circle instead of 3G.

Yes I know it doesnt make change in the bb but it gives you the hole to chacge mode succesffuly like yellowsn0w gives you hole to unlock. So reset and compapility check is absolutely needed.

kabayan, babigurl, have you tried network reset and after airplane mode? It should work since you've done all the yellowsn0w terminal commands.
