    Hi deli_gt.

I am having a strange experience. My iphone WAS working perfectly with yellowsn0w on Orange carrier in the UK. I turned it off and then back on and since then i have no signal. I have the 5 dots permenantly but no signal or no carrier name. I have tried many things and followed your tutorial but cannot find a solution. Do you have any ideas why this has happened?

    Thanks

NOW WORKING... i tried the Airplane mode on and off one more time and it then searched for signal and found orange!! Thanks Deli_gt and Dev-Team. 1 more thing, i am scared to turn if Off, should i be?

    Question working web applications?

hello everybody, I'm from Germany and I can confirm that this tutorial is working perfect for me on vodafone. But the main problem I would like to solve is:

I now can make and recieve calls and sms, but how do I use web applications like safari, email, maps or the weather app? Is this unlock only supposed to work on making phonecalls?

If not, how can I solve this problem? Has iit something to do with the APN, if that is so I would highly appreciate it if anyone could tell me what to type in that fields.

    THANKS

you can also remove all the unlock traces from your iPhone by selecting "Revert".

I can confirm that after hours and hours of trying different solutions, writing the following in the terminal in this order works:

    type yellowsn0w -c
    type yellowsn0w -r
    type yellowsn0w -q

Now there are a few BUTs:

    - It only worked while doing it with my third-party SIM-card already inserted
    - This one is VERY important: Contrary to previous posts, I don't think the "unknown message" errors should be ignored. I tried yellowsn0w -c, -r, -q in a row about 50 times in total until I didn't get an error from any of the commands. Typing yellowsn0w -c and yellowsn0w-r often produced the "resource busy" message; when you get that, you have to start over with yellowsn0w -c all over again since all three have to be entered in a row.
Now yellowsn0w -q was the most frustrating command since most of the time I got either "unknown message" (00xxwtf.etc.) and sometimes the "resource busy" error message on top of that. Anyway, I kept on trying, and finally while almost about to give up, I typed yellowsn0w -q and waiting for approx. 45 seconds, the phone rebooted automatically. I waited, enabled and disabled the airplane mode, and voila, the carrier menu appeared. I tried using another third-party SIM, works perfectly.
-I do believe the time between entering the commands into the terminal matters. Generally: The faster, the better; although going as far as to use several terminal windows has proven unnecessary!

    for the record:
    my iPhone: 16GB white
    was locked to: orange Austria
3rd party SIMs used: Telenor Sweden, A1 Austria. 3G, data, calls, everything works!
