Presently on yellowsn0w 0.9.6

My iphone is registered to Fido and I'm trying to use a recent T-Mobile pay-as-you-go.

The best I can get is:
Restore, QuikPwn yada yada.
Install yellowsn0w from installer or Cydia.
Re-boot.
On unlock screen remove Fido card and insert T-Mobile card. I get the 'Connect to iTunes' screen. As I stay on this screen the phone searchs and connects to Rogers (T-Mobile's roaming partner). I get the text welcoming me to T-Mobile roaming. Still doesn't recognize SIM but is connected.
I've tried many methods of course.

Anybody else getting this?

i am using Fido locked 3G. i dont need to do all those stuff while using my pay go rogers sim. i just restart it and thats i. picks up full 5 bars. also all the services are ok.
