but here is what i noticed ..

i got an iphone locked to vodaphone(egypt) when i have a vodaphone sim in the phone while restoring it gets automatically activated than the carrier in the settings change to vodaphone 2.9 and it seems that anything i do afterwards leads to nothing ... after quickpwning and running yellowsn0w the carrier settings remains the same and only vodaphone sims works other sims lead to (sim failure - invalid sim errors)

when i use other sims (mobinil) or i don't put any sim in while restoring normally it doesn't get activated until i quickpwn....then the carrier in settings becomes (null null) and no matter what i do i get no signal .

any suggestions ??

UPDATE : finally worked after putting the phone in airplane mode for sometime ( 5 to 10 min)

yes that means that ur phone hasnt activated it with any carrier... now use yellowsn0w with your third party sim... u r close ...to unlock ur phone
