New to i-Phone and need help with 3G solutions
I am new here (if this is posted in wrong forum, my bad), and new to i-phone. I never used one before, and I didn't know it was jailbroken either (was given to my mom from a friend; go figure on why it was for free, right!!), but after digging around, for a few days; it made sense why the i-phone had a pineapple icon (I guessing they used Pwnage Tools) appearing whenever I turn on the i-phone, and why it was laggy. At first, I thought I could fix it by restoring it on my i-tunes, and note first, at the time I didn't know it was jailbroken or a thing about jailbreak i-phones, so anyways, when I went to restore it, it gave me that infamous error 1015. I don't know what solutions are best to restore the i-phone. It was working without a sim card, and I didn't know it needed to have a sim card either. I just wanted to use the i-phone to use as an website or download free apps; not for cell phone calling.
I use Windows Vista (32 version), and I am stuck at trying to figure out how to fix an already jailbroken phone, and even RedSnow (a lot point out that it would work with i-phone 3G; however, when I tried RedSnow, it told me it doesn't support the 3G, and even if I pick the right RedSnow (like iClarfied tells you for Windows, doesn't work). I am stuck on those custom firmware because it would only come as a zip, and not appear as a music box firmware icon that you can find in App Data folder where the itunes stores their firmware to restore the iphones (iClarfied will show you the picture of the custom firmware should look like). I even tried iReb to recover the thing, but it didn't work. Well, I am stuck on what to do, and QuickPwn, BlackRain are not working either.
If anyone knows a solution, I appreciate the help. Thanks.
