Default Issue with yellowsnow 0.9.7 and WiFi

I updated my 3G to 2.2.1 and preserved the modem firmware to 02.28.00. I installed yellowsn0w 0.9.7. and all seemed well.
    *except* (see p.s.)
I noticed that I had to go to settings and turn WiFi back on. It seems that every time yellowsn0w runs, it toggles airplane mode. Every time airplane mode is toggled, the WiFi doesn't turn back on. I have read of one other user having the identical issue. Are any of you having issues with this too?

    p.s....
I have a Fido iPhone and a Fido SIM. In the past I JB'd my 3G with QuickPwn(Mac). This is the first time I've used PwnageTool and I'm having issues with activation.

Once restored, my native SIM should work. Mine did not. I left the phone alone, and I tried toggling airplane. Nothing seemed to allow the Fido SIM to work on the newly restored Fido iPhone. (WTF?) Once I unlocked with yellowsn0w, iPhone found carrier right away. Can someone please explain this behavior.

I confirm the WiFi/Yellowsn0 0.97 issue...also has been mentioned in the Dev TEAM Blog comments. Hope, that DEV are aware of that bug and will fix it with next version.

I just, upgrade the Ylowsnow 097 on 2.2 and yes has a wifi issue.
I tried to Reinstall the YLSW, it seems cool so far...So give it try! Only takes about 20 second.
    Good Luck as always

    Yup..P O S I T I V E.
One thing forget to mention, I reset the network setting then reinstall it or vice versa I don't remember which one first, try it both way.
Also, when you reboot it, you need to manualy turn "ON" the wifi.

Which is what bothers me...so no change by reinstalling YS.

I have FW 2.2 (didn't update to 2.2.1) and ys 0.9.7. Everything works as it should except the wifi. I also experience the same behaviour (have to manually turn it on).

thanks for being the guinea pigs

I dont understand why people with FW 2.2 already working, want to use yellowsn0w 9.7?

yellowsnow 9.6 works great for FW 2.2, no wifi problem.

afaict, yellowsn0w 9.7 is ONLY for FW 2.2.1, and there is really no point, unless you can tell me whats better about FW 2.2.1 that is not already working in FW 2.2?

Why do people blindly upgrade without good reason, just to play with the unlock?

sorry for my opinion sounding critical, I do appreciate learning from others experience.

    thanks
    Jonathan

    1. I just upgraded (restored) to 2.2. and 02.28.00, and cydia offered only ys 0.9.7, so I didn't upgrade 0.9.6 - never had it.

    2. I posted results here hoping it can help DEV TEAM to improve ys in later release.

    3. ys is working very well, in/out calls, sms, it just has this issue with wifi, so I don't think it is ONLY for 2.2.1 as you implied.

I update the YLSW by accident. I always "click" update on the Cydia button because I have never heard any "bad" update on it.
If I know the 097 has the wifi issue, I would not update it to 097.
