Install yellowsn0w without WiFi network (Wired Internet Required) REVISED

Method 1
For you guys who don't have a WiFi network but that have a laptop with a Wireless chip built in, I have the easiest solution.
You must have a ethernet internet connection.
Just create a wireless ad-hoc network from your laptop and set up internet sharing.
Then simply connect your iPhone to that network and you now have internet on your iPhone and can download yellowsn0w from Cydia.
For instruction how to set up Internet Sharing, Google is your friend. Just search for "internet sharing xp" replace the xp with your operating system!!!

Method 2
Jailbreak your iPhone using QuickPwn
then download this program from here http://hacxip.com/hacx/3GUnlock.zip
Plug in your iPhone and select "normal" and then just press "hAck" and you are done.
I have tried this many times and I have always been successful and you don't need any WiFi and is much simpler than the above method.

it sounds really cool. but never heard of it. googling............
can anyone else confirm if it is as easy as it sounds?
is there a way that for cydia and installer, we can actually have a program like iTunes?

That is correct what kkdol said. It's very easy.
your laptop has a wired connection, you turn on the wifi on laptop and set it as adhoc, turn on internet sharing .... you basically turn your laptop into a wireless router.

If you are a road warrior, you can do the reverse by using your iphone with data plan to allow your laptop to access the internet via the phone (using PDANet).

no you cant. no bluetooth data transfer yet.

It is true, you can always make an internet sharing wiht any other devices, even with other laptops.

Thats actually how I have been doing it

I have unlocked 3 phones like that so far. No problem at all !

Surprised not many people actually know about this way, its a quick and easy way to create a wireless connection !
