How to look up my number?
So I have unlocked my 3G phone & everything works just fine, but when I go to Settings -> Phone to look up my number since the SIM is new to me, I can't see my number being displayed? Is there another way to get this info?
Of course I can write it down from the contract or call someone & ask that person my number (which is rather silly!), but since I will be swapping SIMs in & out quite often, that's not so convinient...

Probably not, if he cant see it in settings it wont be in contacts.
It has to be saved on the simcards register to be displayed. If it is not - I had the same situation - you have to do some commandline work.

starting at duck's excellent post #34
it will take some time and patience but you will see it then in Settings>Phone, in Contacts and even in itunes while the iPhone is connected.
