Can anyone with yellowsn0w unlcok working check if it's possible to manually select the carrier?

I live near the border and in order not to be in roaming every now and then, I need to select my carrier manually. This is not possible with the xSIM solutions, was wondering if with the soft unlock method it is.

It is possible....I do it my self cuz my carrier has to networks the 2G and the 3G network and i always want to be in the 3G network so yes it can be done.
