Default Bad news for T-Mobile US Flex Pay account owners

I just made this discovery after having problems making calls all day long.

I have been on flex pay now for 2 months, breaking off of my family's regular family plan with tmobile and after using yellowsn0w on my 3g, i get everything working EXCEPT i lose bars and have to reset every time i try to make a call.

I took my fathers SIM card, inserted it into my iphone 3g, bars came up lightning fast, made a call, and lo and behold it started ringing.

It would seem that us Flex Pay members could be fucked.

But hopefully not, i dont know 100% for sure if this is the problem but with the way ive done it, it sure seems like this is the problem.

If there are any other members here who HAVE A REGULAR TMOBILE ACCOUNT THAT IS NOT FLEX PAY AND IS HAVING THE CALLS OUT PROBLEM THEN PLEASE POST HERE lets collect data to make sure this is it so devteam will know.

There is a possibility that there is nothing that can be done about this.

I have a regular account and I have the calls out problem. I have tried EVERYTHING (SSH command prompt included). I still cannot make calls. I can receive and use EDGE just fine.

It could be due to the applications within your sim card.

Default sim or not the sim, that is the question

tested mine out with a regular... but it locks my phone keypad out... apparently the airplane mode acts as a sort of refresh though... if not, then powering it on and off might help somehow

It's the problem with the sim card version. If you have the sim card with version 39.01A and up, you'll probably have problems with yellowsn0w.

I have FlexPay (and I HATE it, I feel like a Goddamned beta tester locked into a 2-year contract) and I've been able to use EDGE and receive calls and texts all day. I just can't call out. I do have the SIM card version mentioned above.

ok so it turns out its not flexpay, and more to do with the age of your simcard. i just recently upgraded to the latest version of yellowsn0w, and by stroke of luck was able to obtain a 39.01a simcard, and with a little work and praying i actually got the unlock to stick and EVERYTHING WORKS.
