I listened but i restored to 2.2 for the unlock. if you really care about ur applications and songs in iphone then just do a backup in itunes and then upgrade to 2.2. after upgrading, just go to itunes and sync the phone.all your previous apps will be back. after that, just use quick pwn to jailbreak and then install the unlock software yellowsn0w. hope it helps because i guess u dont want to restore because its too much hastle to reinstall all the apps back again.

There is the update option ... or you do a full backup, shift+restore and then resync with the chosen backup ... you won`t loose anything

dear hackint0sh members, I am amazed at the lack of common sense you have. OF COURSE I KNOW ABOUT FREAKIN ITUNES BACKUP AND RESTORE (which by the way many times causes errors due to backed up plists....) I was reffering to cydia apps and prefs DUUUUUUUUUUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Dear seseberg,
of course there is a way of backing up that. It's been there since I 1st owned an iPhone (more than 1 year back).
As you seem to have lots of common sense I am confident you will find it here.

btw - your keyboard seems to be broken.

    Default dear dude

aptbackup ain't helping as well..... I need something to JUST update the baseband. PERIOD. I've spent way to much time setting up my iphone, and I really don't like the idea of manually copying all the plists into the newly restored ipsw..........
btw: my keyboard is NOT broken......

like the 2nd comment had anything to do with what I asked............................................. .
my question about the baseband update was due to the fact that I have spent to much time customizing stuff, and I hate to take all the plists out and put them back into the newly restored ipsw.......... duh

If you would have searched the forums, you would have noticed that there are other threads like this one that are about the exact same thing.

Thread closed. I hope the OP learns some maturity before he gets his hands on an infraction/ban.
