Great, new iphone firmware, but ever since iv used winpwn and the new 2.0 firmware, its just giving me hassle. You will notice that it is very very slow compared to 1.1.4 and it will just freze on you then start working again. There are no features in the 2.0 firmware that i would use just now, the app store is nice but really expensive. Most of the apps from installer dont work and cydia has few apps that anyone would use. I would just wait till installer is ready for 2.0 - which looks really nice - there are screenshots of it up on the web.

My advice to anyone who is looking to upgrade to 2.0 firmware is to wait. You will probably come across many problems upgrading using winpwn 2.0 - i think we all r. I got errors 6, 1600, 1601, 1604.... and its not worth the hassle! Honestly...

So does anyone recommend a method of downgrading a winpwn 2.0 phone back to good old 1.1.4?

to go back, you need to restore phone to factory 2.0 firmware.

I don't knw the correct process but I think what we'll have to to is install bootnueter; don't check auto delete bootneuter in Pwnage Option and create ipsw. Restore in iTunes.

Use bootneuter to restore the unlocks. Set neuter and unlock to off.

Then do a restore to 2.0 or skip a step and DFU to 1.1.4.

The first DFU to 1.1.4 doesn't work for me (Can't kick phone out of recovery mode) I also do a normal restore to 1.1.4 after DFU.

Kick phone out of recovery.

Then used the baseband downgrader Ziphoned Patched. To fix the baseband.

Restore to 1.1.4.

Wala. Fresh 1.1.4 locked and ready to be hacked.

you don't need to worry about the bootneuter. once your BL is neutered, it stays neutered ....

you need to follow the instruction I mentioned on iclarified.

so when you are back at 1.1.4, you simply jb & activate. Then use bootneuter and just slide the unlock to on and hit flash ... it should be fast

REMEMber: autolock to never when ever you use bootneuter and don't interrupt it.

I just did a downgrade from the sluggish 2.0 to the 1.1.4 using iPlus2.0b.

My iPhone was upgraded from 1.1.3 to 1.1.4 previouslly using iPlus2.0b which worked wonder for me.

Yes, during the downgrade (after restored to official 1.1.4 using iTunes 7.5, which gave me Error 1505, which was the "correct error" for downgrading). I used iplus2.0b to jb/un/av.

I did encountered probem 4 times during iplus2.0b where my iphone was hang on 2nd reboot, but somehow, I kept repeating-forcing iplus2.0b for 3 times, and bingo, it worked on the last try and my baseband was downgraded as well form 04.05.04g to 04.04.05g.

I wonder, iplus2.0b is capable of downgrading baseband as well from that of 2.0 to 1.1.4?

What I want to know is why they released a program that wouldn't work well? Really. I know you guys have done tons for us, but dont release an obvious BETA version that doesn't work and creates more problems, just to say you have 2.0 unlocked? Quality not speed guys. I'm looking forward to a REAL 2.0 unlock.

What are you talking about?
Devteam released pwnage tool app and it is offical.
Winpwn is a port of the mac application. It is RC (release candidate). You should have waited. If you chose to use it then you know it may not be perfect

Agree with that .

Well someone released a program that does not work. That's obvious. I haven't used it since why would I want to when it is a failure. My point is why did someone release this if it was obvious its not ready. And you two jump in my face about it? If the program has this many problems, it should not be allowed on this site. That's what we have mods for. Ban this item so people who dont research before they run a program stop screwing their devices.

Plus the pwnage tool looks as though it has tos of problems too. I miss iPlus. Worked perfectly, every time. When a program works as well as that one (which is it actually completes its task) then it should be released, not before.
