If you did not use it, how can you draw the conclusion that I did not work ? Obviously, there are still issues to be sorted out BUT the program works for a lot of people.

FWIW, mods' job is to keep the forum in order, move things around to make sure the forum stays organized for users. We offer help and advice when we can. Most importantly, we try to prevent spams and link to illegal software, piracy, and copyright infringement.
We are not here to tell you what you can or cannot say. We are just asking users to read the rule and use your best judgement.

Pwnage Tool app, WinPwn are similar tool to use on Mac and Windows respectively. They may have quirks but it works for many people and they don't damage your phone.

Before DevTeam release Pwnage Tool app. People are whining and complaining why it is not released quickly.

When WinPwn is not there, people whine an complain as well.

When they are out - you complain that it does not work or it's not bug free. I don't know what to tell you.

By the way, it's not "someone" released a program that you believe does not work. It's released by Dev Team for Pwnage tool app. WinPwn is release by cmw (niacin) with helps from some members from Dev.

Plus the pwnage tool looks as though it has tos of problems too. I miss iPlus. Worked perfectly, every time. When a program works as well as that one (which is it actually completes its task) then it should be released, not before.

plaese calm down GPU those days were nice but are kinda gone dut to apple closing exploits, nowadays its about customized firmware, i plus/iliberty was the shit tho

I do not profess to be any expert on Winpwn or FW 2.0, but from what I read and seen on a legit AT&T phone there definitely seems to be some bugs in Apple's iPhone FW 2.0.

I did use Winpwn, and apparently it did work - at least it created the IPSW file correctly, and pwned iTunes.

Sadly, my iPhone kept crashing and crashing, until it couldn't boot anymore.

I don't know what the problem is - the pwned firmware, or the firmware itself - but I'm not updating my iPhone to 2.0 for a while....

I do agree that the firmware was really dodgy when it was released. I used the 2.0.1 version. I think the developer should of released that as a beta, and anyone willing to risk and test the software are free to to so and report any problems so a bug free version can be released for anyone to use. I managed to get back down to 1.1.4 - finally. I downgraded iTunes to 7.5 after restoring 2.0. After that it was pretty simple. The iclarified links on the first page are spot on.

So is anyone sticking with 2.0? Or have u all downgraded? 1.1.4 is a stable release.
