did you try what i did in my post above? cleared up the errors i was having and it works great now. up until i tried that I was having the exact issues you were

do you have to be on a previously pwned iphone in order to pwn it to 2.0? I unlocked and jailbreak and activated my iphone previously by using iliberty+

also once the phone is pwned with winpwn 2.0, and installer is available later, can you manually add installer and remove cydia?

I got the 16xx errors last night.. spent many hours and could not fix it.. I tried almost every thing.. change USB port.. reboot.. removed.... downgraded.. none works.. I tried the whatever refer to download zpwn-nightbuild.. still did not work.. then I tried one last one.. got into the DFU.. shift-control (yes.. shift-control) to restore original back to 2.0.. then go back into DFU.. shift restore the custom firmware2.0 .. now it works like a champ.. I did not have to downgraded back to 1.14 (I tried but I couldn't).. so now I have a jailbroken 2G 2.0 Iphone.. THANK YOU

after trying to pwn, my phone has been in recovery mode for over 7hrs now and i can't restore. Itunes won't even recognize my phone at times, when it does, and i try to restore, it says "unknown error" (6)

even though i have 3G, i tried everythng from iplus to iliberty to redownloading itunes. Nothing.

can anyone help me restore. so pissed right now. dont even want to pwn my phone anymore

I was on a 1.1.4 jailbroken iphone, i succesfully pwned it to 2.0 firmware. While builing the firmware firssst time winpwn came up with error, i gave it another try and this time unchecked cydia, the firmware file was built this time. I was then able to flash the custom 2.0 firmware.

I jst synced my 500 odd contacts through itunes, all seem to be working well so far.

I hope you used the correct firmware file for your 3g iphone, most folks here like myself are non 3g (old) iphone owners. Did you use the non 3g firmware cnd flashed it on your 3g iphone?

I have a 1.1.4 ziphoned iphone... I was thinking about restoring it back to 1.1.4 and then use winpwn to create a custom 2.0 fw. Will that be ok or do I have to pwn my iphone while in 1.1.4 (using winpwn 1.0) before I use winpwn 2.0?
I read that cydia makes your iphone kinda slow... is that true??
