Default [winpwn](sucess)I finally got 2.0 running

So I finally got it, it took a while though. When i first started I had the 3g firmware and I have a 2g phone so most of the options were greyed out in winpwn. another give away to this is it said "be sure to connect iphone 3g" when i first loaded the firmware. Then i was following the iClarified tutorial and there way of pwning itunes did not work for me. It said to go to where you saved the custom firmware and click open. that did not work, you have to click the ipwner button in winpwn once you have your firmware created. then the preparing firmware for restore in itunes took forever so i un pluged a couple of times like an idiot. once I just let it be and had patience it went through the whole process and tadaaa, i now have pwned 2.0 2g iphone. all seems to be working great.

    Good Job !!.
Lots of people is having a hard time using winpwn with their 2G iphone + fw 2.0

Did you have problem with Cydia ? or DFU mode ?

Can you share your computer setup, experience and etc .. I'm just hoping that it will be useful to other readers.

    Many thanks

While my iTunes is restoring my iPhone to 2.0 pwned it takes a LONG time and ends up in some unknown error and never works for me.. (sometime iTunes gets stuck at "Restoring iPhone software..." and never finishes even after 2 hours)

    Help anyone?

I did not any trouble getting my phone into dfu mode, Iknow for sure it was in dfu because my computer had to install news drivers for dfu mode. I did try it a couple times in recoverymode to no avail. Cydia seems to be working great. Really once I got itunes pwned it went smooth other than my own impatience. the whole proccess was very slow. it probably took 3-4 tmes longer to restore through itunes than it did with previous retores to previous firmware versions. Before itunes was pwned i was getting a series of 1600 errors and also when it was pwned but wasnt in dfu. I'm not very computer savy so if i can do it you can do it!!

I did all this on a HP 6400 series laptop running Vista.

On loan to dad who is in Honduras...

    Edit 1 ---
Background info: My Mac my dad has it on a "loan" but he gave me $150 as a "rent" payment...even though I said it was ok as free. I am doing Summer semester at University of New Orleans for the summer... going back in a few days to Honduras.

I'm using my dad's HP dv1660se running XP SP2... iTunes stays a looong time trying to Restore and never actually succeeds. Only a bunch of errors and crashes. I'm stuck with an iPhone rebooting in Recovery and DFU mode (brick basically) and me, well, I am frustrated...

    Edit 2 ---

    Sucks being without my Mac...

    Edit 3 ---

Every time I try to Restore, iTunes consumes a bit of the Hard disk in order to extract the .ipsw; however, since the Restore is interrupted by me or ends in error/fails, that disk space that is taken up is not given back by iTunes and stays "consumed" [I loose disk space]. Where can I find the files iTunes extracts to the Hard disk so I can delete them and get my space back. So far iTunes has eaten away 10GB of data in just failed Restores.
