whenever i try to make the custom firmware it shuts down when its rebuilding the root filesystem. any help? i am running winpwn 2.0.0.2

Maybe on the Winpwn you'll some help. If you post there, try to be clear on your title and avoid sad faces, the "please help!!!" "WTF" and so on kind of sentences. You'll get more attention if you're clear abour your issue. Good luck!

I had a similar problem. When writing the output ipsw, winpwn crashes back to the os without any error message. After installing Win XP SP3, this was solved. Give it a try.

this is very simple. I had same Problem with error 6. Here is the problem- All you are pouting your Iphone's i Recovery Mode, and not i DFU Mode. which is very complicated at the beginning, but very simple at the end.
after You run all processes with Winpwn and create Custom-iPhone1,1_2.0_5A347_Restore, You open the iTunes, you connect Iphone then after you connect you hold only sleep/power button and you shut down your Iphone. Then here is the tricky part" You hold both sleep/power button and Home button together for around 10 seconds, the you relies sleep/power button, BUT you continue holding Home Button for around 7 seconds till you here the sound from Your iTunes the same sound that you usually here when you connect Iphone with iTunes" and " You will see down at the Time, message that Iphone is in DFU mode" this is it. the only bypass for this problem is to uncheck youtube activation and Cydia it worked fine for me. But still have to activate youtube.
