I'm new here. Was a member of 'ModMyiFone'

I tried using the 'WinPwn' program to unlock/ jailbreak my iPhone 8GB running 1.1.4

Everything was fine until i browsed for the Custom firmware.
It took ages to 'Ready to boot into Recovery mode' then it gave me an error. The number was 1064.

My OS is: Windows XP Professional. Service Pack 3.
iPhone current Version: 1.1.4 (ZiPhone)

What can i do?
Anyone can help me here?

I tried the fix you attatched to this thread.
but sadly. after 2 times. it still did not work..
ill try a few more times.

is there any other ways or people that can help me solve this?

Use recovery mode instead of DFU mode

I agree. Try recovery mode. Hold down home button while you connect iPhone to computer. Then do the shift-click thing as usual.

But recovery mode isnt working aswell.
i still get the '1604' error.
Are there any other paths to achieve what i want?

Try loading a 1.1.4 file into Winpwn and pwn the phone. Than load a 2.0 file and than try.

Read other posts on this issue.

If you are getting these errors .. dont' think Cutom files can be loaded, first load the regular 2.0 file. It will bring the phone back to normal mode.

Play with it .. see everything that can works .. like wifi/youtube etc.

Now connect the phone to computer .. after it's detected, hold power and home button .. see the phone turn off -- blank screen -- release power button but hold on to home till you see itunes says it detected something . .. let home go.

Now in itunes you can use the restore custom file featurre

I have the same problem.
1. I've restored to the 2.0 firmware (custom)
2. Everething went well and 2.0 was loaded.
3. For some reason i've decided to lauch the boot neuter icon
4. I switched the bootloader from 3.9 to 4.6
5. Waited until flash finished
6. Reboot

and that's it. my iphone is stuck on the boot screen since then.
nothing i do helps. in DFU mode i cannot restore to any of the firmwares -
tried to restore to 1.1.4, original 2.0, custom 2.0 and always get "error 1604".

PLEASE HELP!

what you need to do is restart your computer and try again if u still get 1604 switch USB porst
if still 1604 try a different computer or if u cant get to one, a deiiferent user on ur current computer
