As WinPWN supports 1.1.4 as well as 2.0 is it possible to downgrade a 2.0 WinPWN´d phone back down to 1.1.4 using WinPWN? without going through all the hassle of downgrading iTunes?

Since iTunes 7.7 doesnt support the 1.1.4 firmware. I think we will need to go through the hassle of downgrading iTunes.

Wait a minute there... I don't get it, I HAVE 7.7 and have restored to 1.1.4 like 5 or 6 times before upgrading to 2.0... the problem is when you try to downgrade... that's when u have to change versions in iTUNES

i used the old method to upgrade to 2.0. couldnt take the slow downs or not having the installer. so i went through the hastle of downgrading. had to reinstall itunes 7.5 load an image of 1.1.4 then used ziphone to unlock. not exactly science but a few trial and errors i had it done. took about an hour. the phone works as fast and perfect as it did before the upgrade. i did try uninstalling cydia via cydia and it sped the phone up some but it was still 2 or 3 seconds behind my wifes /1.1.4 hacked with ziphone. i was going to try to build an image with winpwn but i couldnt get it to work correctly with 2.0 so i built an image out of my old 1.1.4 and that one could not be recognised by itunes. so i guess if i had any advise put it in dfu and load an old 1.1.4 image then ziphone or whatever you like. 2.0 was cool and fun to play with but not nearly as enjoyable. i will upgrade again when it is faster and more functional. this is not for the timid there were at least 2 times that i thought i was going to have to get another iphone, but thats the fun in all this!

I know this was a couple of months ago, but could someone help me here? I need to downgrade from 2.0 to 1.1.4. My power button is broken and i need to take it back to apple.

How can i load an image of 1.1.4 on my 2g winpwn'd 2.0 phone?

why do you need a 1.1.4 fw on it.. what if you restore to the latest 2.x fw apple should not have a problem with that and you dont even need to put the phone into dfu mode for this ( i think)

Are you saying to just plug into iTunes and upgrade the iphone to the latest software???

sure if you are taking it back to apple store and you are sure that they will fix the button problem ....but may be one of the senior members here can point out something thing that i might be overlooking ..

btw why do you want your phone to be on 1.1.4 to take it to apple store...

I guess I was thinking that the phone needed to be in its original condition. but it makes sense to just upgrade to 2.0.2. So I did that yesterday.

I'm still experienceing thse 2 issues:
1.) sleep button on top doesnt work.
2.) if plugged in to the USB (PC or wall) it works fine. when i unplug it, after a couple of minutes, it just recycles from shutting down -> showing the apple logo -> rebooting -> showing the apple logo -> rebooting... wash, rinse, repeat....

Now i'm on 2.0.2, upgraded thru iTunes, so I assume I can take it back and be safe. Any comments???
