downloaded the program to upgrade my 1.1.4 to 2.0.2 everything went smoothly until it came to put my phone in DFU mode. i clicked start on the program and i get no count downs to show me when to press the buttons to get into that mode. I must have been at it for over an hour and i'm about to give up and try again another night.

if anyone has any ideas on how to help, i would really appreciate them

I've tried everything to unlock my phone an it wont follow through ....... 4gb , was unlocked (tmobile) til now its a current update from apple an i cant even get into the phone.. HELP i cant even post a thread yet:hack:

Okay, made some progress... I was able to "jailbreak" my 16gb 3g iphone using pwnage tool. But it never gave me the options to use the bootloaders in expert mode. I'm assuming that's why it's still not accepting my t-mobile simcard... So everything is working, DFU Mode, Itunes custom restore, accept no bootloader option in pwnage, so I'm assuminig that's preventing my simcard from working...

I'm now out of ideas as to what I'm doing wrong..FYI, i'm using pwnage too because I have a MAC... Winpwn is for windows based computers, correct? I'm sorry to bother u guys but I refuse to pay the guys near me $100 bucks to lock it when so many of my brethren on here problem have 10x the knowledge of this indirect dealer does... Thanks

You do have a 3G iPhone, it can't be unlocked so far, just jailbroken and that's what you already did.

I still can't get it.

In the logs off to the side it reads "failed to load itunes mobile device driver"

my brother has a iphone with 1.1.4 and is trying to upgrade to 2.0.2 with latest beta but towards the end when it say preparing iphone to accept custom ipsws the winpwn crashes and the iphone screen stays white, would it be safe to still select the custom firmware and try upgrade or should i use another lap top to upgrade it??

use itunes 7.7, not 8.

crashed whatever itunes i used but after entering dfu mode so i put his iphone to restore with custom fw and it worked even though winpwn had crashed...
