Doing some searching and I apologize if this is an elementary question for you guys. I'm trying to jailbreak my 3g iphone and winpwn seems to be what I need but I use a mac and it won't open.. Same thing for the bootloaders 3.9 and 4.6.. They won't open on my mac either.... I'm far from a programs expert so any help in simplifying this process is GREATLY appreciated... Thanks in advance..
FYI, I have quickpwn and pwnage tool. quickpwn is to keep an iphone at & T I'm guessing from the info I've seen. Is pwnage tool a way for me to jailbreak without the bootloaders? thanks again

upgraded from 1.1.1 to 2.0.2

Another day another problem... Persistence pays off though, right? Okay iclarified was very helpful but a couple things aren't working. It allows me to go all the way thru to dfu mode and successfully enters the mode. Then I go to itunes to do the resotre with the custom package created in the PWNAGE TOOL. It appears as though it's done and at the very end it says "error: could not restore iphone (error msg 1600)" or something to that affect.
Now i created a PWNAGE folder on my desktop where i keep everything store but in the TOOL there never is a point where it gives me the option to use the two bootloaders like iclarified indicates it will.... Once again, you guys have been extremely helpful and informative. I appreciate anyone who can give me insight into the problem.. Thanx in advance...

help please i need advice
i have a 1.1.3 iphone 1.1.2 otb week 48, updated to 1.1.3, ever since my iphone got almost bricked as in the message of please repair ur iphone bla bla bla, i obviously fixed it but i never fooled around with my iphone again, u can belive me since i am stil at 1.1.3, now its time for an update cause its obviously better i need to know first off is it safe to jump from 1.1.3 to the latest 2.0.2, not 2.1 cause a tutorial on iclarified is not out yet, so is it safe using winpwn 2.5 beta 2 to do all this stuff, and at a extreme level what could go wrong cause i read the tutorial, and its not doing all the work directly on the phone its making a custom fw to restore to, so could something possibly go wrong, and are there any successes from doing this or is there more fails please i have become really paranoid ever since the day i thought my phone was going to become a paper weight
thanx in adavance
