WinPwn 2.5 says "Congratulations! You have successfully entered DFU mode. Please wait while your iPhone/iPod is being prepared to accept custom IPSWs" and then... nothing...
It just stays like that forever.
It never gets to "Please use iTunes to restore your iPhone/iPod with a custom IPSW now. You may now let go of the home button. You can now restore the iPhone in iTunes with shift-restore and the custom firmware."

    What is wrong?
    Please???

I have the exact same situation & problem, anyone?

Furthermore, when I pull the plug, literally, WinPwn says "Pwnage failed, want to retry?", then I click yes, but then nothing happens, just back at the main screen .

    I'm on the original FW2.0.

    * i have 2.0.1-->winpwn 2.0.4(unlocked)

    1) what should be the partition size...shall i make it to 600..?? (coz 700 is way too much i guess..lots of space ll be wasted)

    2) should i have to use the option of unlock again..????

    3) should i have to activate again..??? (not a at&t user)
got error 6 with 600 meg patrition, and kinda lag with 500 meg one ( maybe i'm trippin )... with 700meg everything seems cool.

My friend had this problem back on 1.1.4 or 1.1.3, can't remember which, but he just went into settings and reset all the iPhone settings and it fixed the issue.

My iPhone has been stuck on the Apple logo at boot up at least 6 times this week causing me to restore, I don't even get to jailbreak my iPhone before the iPhone gets stuck on Apple logo again *sighs*

Well if your custom firmware has been made, I'd close winpwn and put the iPhone into DFU mode manually and then restore to the custom firmware. Should work

Your pc should recognise the DFU Driver connected, your iphones screen should be black but connected until update is started. Not showing the normal restore icon.

If you ask any apple representative they will say restoring ur phone under DFU mode dramatically effects the iphones performance. Dont believe the hype theyre just rumour mongering.

Beta 1 I had an issue where it created an image but did not pwn my phone which I thought it was supposed to without using itunes. Maybe im wrong but I basically just picked up the custom image, shift + restore in itunes worked fine.

I installed beta 2 but didnt bother pwning my phone again as it already worked. When winpwn asks do u wish to erase all data do so, but the restore will take a little longer, I generally backup my contacts using google so it doesnt bother me wiping anything out.
when you said hold down power and other button, do you hold those down the whole time
    ?
