Help Im new at this I activated and unlocked my iphone (2G) with ziphone but i want to upgrade to 2.1 using itunes 8 Should i do this using quickpwn for mac or as ive read will my phone remain unlocked or what What should i do I cant seem to find the answer, Im sure its there but some help would be greatly appreciated

That is not really very clear, what files can it not see, did you install the application. Pwnagetool is what I would use if I had a mac(i use XP) it has worked for a lot of ppl and yes if the app if for the Mac it will run on Tiger.

sorry for be so unclear The files I refere to are The two bootloader files 3.9BL, 4.6BL, these wont load as they are greyed out Pwnage 2.1, loads perfectly and seems to be running ok

When promted to load the firmware file 2.1.0 (2G): iPhone1,1_2.1_5F136_Restore.ipsw I get a message saying that this is the incorrect file and that it is the wrong ipsw file

so at the moment i am a bit stuck I thought I might start again and try and download everything afresh so here goes
Any thoughts or ideas will be greatly appreciated

no bevcause winpwn deos not support 2.1!!!

use quickpwn firstly upgrade through itunes then use quickpwn but you must download two b.in files as well as the 2.1 firmware which links and tutorials can be found @ www.iclarified.com

I had a flawless time unlocking my 1.14 upgrading to 2.01 with winpwn and then upgrading with a custom 2.1 ipsw.

it was my first time trying anything with the iphone, and I didn't run into any problems.
