    Default [winpwn 2.0.0.4] Can I upgrade straight from 1.1.1. BL3.9 to 2.0.1. ?

    Hey guys.

    I have a 1.1.1. 3.9BL and am finally taking the plunge to upgrade to 2.0.1.

    Can anyone tell me if I can go straight from 1.1.1. to 2.0.1. using this guide? http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1572

    Also, what is the best way to restore my contacts, calender stuff, camera pics, etc. after upgrading ? restore from backup or set up as new phone?

    Yep you can.

    If you want, you can even choose the Upgrade Bootloader to 4.6.....

    I did that when upgrading my iPhone 2G from 1.1.2 to 2.0.
    When upgrading to 2.0.1, I didnt need to upgrade, so I only unlocked the baseband.

    I would leave the bootloader as it is (3.9). OOTb 1.1.1 iPhones came with BL 3.9

    Why not ? Your phone bootloader is originally 3.9 so I will leave it as that. There is no advantage of changing it to 4.6.
    Bootneuter is a great program, however, there is always risk when you operate on the BL & BB. That is why we suggest you to leave it alone. Bootneuter is a 100% safe program, some people misused it and ended up with a broken phone

    Dtube you have the best advice....thanks dude......
    iPhone 1.0.2 OTB->Virginized->1.1.4 FW->Winpwn FW 2.0.1 Quickpwn 2.0.1 to FW 2.2.1->RedsnOw->3.0 FW itunes3.0.1FW->RedsnOw 8 to unlock->RedSnow 0.9.2 upgrade to 3.1.2->iPhone 2g 3.1.2 and as of July 30th,2010->iPhone 4-32GB & iPhone 4-16Gb->Unlocked
