2.5 worked fine for me: but for anyone who is intrested it has bug fixes.
Big problem--- my phone is bricked
I upgraded with winpwn from 1.1.4 to 2.0.1(??). After that was done I had no signal so I started playing around with the boot neuter option I believe I assigned everything to on including fakeblank. Now my phone does not work… it shows me the usb and itunes. I used winpwn to fix it… put in in DFU mode the phone is off, I load the custom .ipsw the screen turns white , itunes extracts files, goes into preparing iphone for restore. Then the apple comes up on the iphone with the little turning circle…. Then itunes says it cannot restore my phone, error 1604.. Ive tried everything going to itunes 7.5, ziphone to get it normal mode, nothing works… I really need my phone to work. It is a 1.2 phone upgraded to 2.0. all in windows..
this update works flawlessly!
restoring my 2.0.2 with 2.0.2 made with this update of winpwn.. i added wipe data this time and set the root partition to default 500mb.. will post results in about 10 minutes..
iphone successfully restored to "factory settings" with the custom firmware.
i DID restore from backup and guess what? no problems whatsoever. itunes didn't ask me to set up the phone again. EXCELLENT. (i never had problems restoring from backup anyway, but just some words of caution: always backup your contacts, sms, pics, etc)
capacity 7.03gb, 6.8 free (no songs sync'd yet)
t-mobile call in/call out works
safari works/remembers passwords
mail doesn't crash
appstore apps all work (you will need to reinstall all homebrew/cracked apps)
restarted the iphone.. no spinning circle from hell.
looks flawless so far..
