ok - im getting there on my own :)

however, when i try to restore through itunes im getting the following message:

unknown error (1600)

any ideas?

at that stage you open itunes press shift and restore and select the custom firmware you made with winpwn.. but new winpwn is out soon i dont see there any point upgrade to 2.0.2 espesially when u can quickpwn to 2.1 and soon winpwn will support 2.1 ...

As I said in a previous post, you will not get error 1600, wen you just shift-restore the phone WITHOUT going in DFU mode !!!

hey its my second time posting here i just want to know is it safe if i place my iphone in dfu mode then restored to 1.1.4 and unlock/jailbreak/activate using ziphone.
My current version is 2.0.2 and i bootneuterd my baseband to unlock it.
I wish to go back to 1.1.4 because there arent many applications on 2.0.2 and also my cellular reception became weak.

iPhone history:
*1.1.4 OTB------unlocked, activated, and jailbroken using ziphone3.0
*DFU mode then installed 1.1.4 and unlocked, activated, and jailbroken using ziphone 3.0(i needed to restore)
*DFU mode, pwned, then installed 2.0.2 neutered baseband and upgraded BL from 3.9 to 4.6

Did you install a modified (pwned) 2.0.2. in that last step? I.e. is your baseband version still 04.04.05? (You can check this in Settings... General... About... Modem firmware)

Then you might need to downgrade that back to 04.04.05 when you downgrade the main firmware to 1.1.4. I'm not sure -- maybe you can search the forum to see if anyone knows more -- but it might be wise to consider this complication. The combination of 1.1.4 and 04.05.04 is not "meant to" work...

ok is this process safe, i mean downgrading the baseband, firmware and also ziphone downgrades the BL so is this safe or is it dangerous

Downgrading the baseband should be safe, particularly since you already have a neutered bootloader. The forum probably has a post explaining the procedure (you'd probably use a version of bbupdater or one of Geohot's baseband tools). If you can't find it, you can always post a thread asking for help in the General or Unlocking section.

Don't downgrade your baseband bootloader (this is what Ziphone does by default: from 4.6 to 3.9). If anything has a risk, it's this.
