I was on custom 2.0 and tried to go directly to a 2.0.1 and it wouldn't let me. I got an error (1). So I restored in DFU to 2.0 and then DFU'd restore to custom 2.0.1 and it still gives me an error (1). Any ideas? And yes, I'm positive its in DFU.
Oh, and BTW, itunes is giving me the error (1) right after its done extracting the custom FW.
i rebuilt the ipsw and that seemed to get rid of error 6.
Its finally working!
Used the DFU but I had error 1, 6 and 9...
So I simply rebooted my PC, recreated a new IPSW and waited for 20 mins for the restore to complete!
*Just to note, I went from 1.1.4 to 2.0.1
This program sucks! Do not use if u have a working iPhone.
It obviosly has not had the slightest alpha testing.
Do NOT use under any circumstances until the author is educated in testing software.
U have been warned.
had 1.0.2 -> 1.1.3 with ziphone -> 2.0.1 winpwn
without a problem, I guess I was lucky
ah, solved my own problem.
the first version of WinPWN i downloaded wouldn't let me load the BL files. the second one did. that solved it.
i'm waiting for the phone up finish restoring. question though: are the important files available through installer.app yet? the only two i really need is SSH and TZones fix.
Error 6 people
make sure you don't have a previous version of winpwn and also restart your computer after the 18.104.22.168 install...
I have tried that. Same error. Cant seem to go to 2.0 either using 22.214.171.124

constant error 6 message for the past 2 hours trying to get to 2.0.1
using a 1st gen iphone
i cant count the number of times i redid Winpwn but i finally succeeded
i tried various combos of building the ipsw .. with Cydia,installer you tube fix... without any of the mentioned in various ways.. different root size... different options in bootneuter
what finally work for me is Cydia installer and Youtube fix checked.... root part size 1000mb bootneuter with enable baseband update... neuter bootloader 3.9/4.6(not update).... unlock baseband all checked
built ipsw successful.. did the iPwner again (with iTunes closed) forced phone into DFU then opened iTunes and did the shift restore option....
i did get an error from iTunes when all was done stating the there was an invalid response from the iPhone... i just clicked ok and the iPhone showed up in iTunes after a few seconds... phone worked fine activated and unlocked
restore to backup took about ten minutes
all apps came back as well
not sure if this combo of checks for building the ipsw will work for everyone but i figured id post it just incase it may work for others
what was your phones previous FW?
