I restored from my backup and it worked perfectly. You can try it too.
And BTW, the thrill is part of the iPhone's fun :D
Hahaha i know that the thrill is part of it. Its just that i dont want to bricked it, i use it a lot, so thats the main reason.
But i think i have it pretty clear now.
I will try to follow step by step, but im at work now. So i will check it out when im home. By the way, all the winpwn process from start i got to have my iphone connected to the pc, right??
thanks got that part figured out....thought all was good but now instead of error 1604 its just a error 6. I did everything step by step.
Ok, 3 things make sure you are doing right.
1. Check if you got the right firmware?
2. Make sure you put it correctly in DFU mode
3. Make sure you put the root partition above 512 mb
Hope that helps!
too bad you cant use the resizer on 1.1.4 :(
has anyone made a complete error list for the iphone cuz id love to kno what error(6) means cuz i get that no matter what i do
Had issues but did exactly what you said and flawless jailbreak....You are the Man Law! again. appreciate the info. I was on 1.1.4 and upgraded to 2.0.1 and champ! it worked
Tho I dont like 2.0 at all.. all the free stuff now costs and up to 9.99 on some that were once free!! I reverted back to 1.1.4 for now... 2.0 just not worth it to me,, the iphone seemed slower, graphics better but the free apps are junk and barely used what is available for data.. so Meh! 1.1.4 it is
i have the phone in dfu mode...im pretty sure. when i do the process of getting into dfu itunes detects the phone, while the phone screen shows no logo. I then shift restore and it gets to the point of actually restoring the software and than bam error 6.
DFU mode to be exact.... open itunes, plug in iphone, look at a clock.. exactly 10 secs hold home and power at the 10 sec mark release power and keep on home until itunes detects it.... after this do a regular restore, let itunes do the work. then do this a second time and do the winpwn and you should be all set... Be warned it will sit there like it isnt doing anything for a while depending on your pc speed.. it took me about 20-30min to do the restore in DFU...
I think the confusion to alot of this lies in the DFU mode.. DFU is a BLACK screen, not the secondary screen you pick.
