[Problem] [Solved] custom restore ipsw w/itunes

**Im going to download iTunes 8 and bring my laptop into a wifi spot I'll report back how it goes**

enviroment

dell laptop.
windows xp.
1gb ram.

itunes 7.7
winpwn 2.50 B2

description of problem
===
i can write out the custom IPSW fine. w/700mb partition size
i can DFU fine.
there's a balloon for DFU device.
there's a screen for now ready to accept custom IPFW.

open itunes 7.7
there's no iphone under the device menu.
there's no where to shift-click restore.

now what i've done after this.
===
kicked the phone out of DFU and it came back live w/1.1.4
itunes reconized the phone and shift-restore w/custom ipsw.
the phone reboots into unactivited 2.0.2 state.
try to enter restore mode.
i tunes error outs b/c theres no internet connection for legal activiation.
try to reboot phone.
unactivited 2.0.2 state.
the phone does not appear under the devices list.

currently
===
i can DFU.
however, there's no phone in the devices
thus i cannot restore back to 1.1.4 or anything else.

wondering
===
is the phone is unactivited with stock 2.0.2
bringing my laptop to a wifi spot to try to "legally activiate it" but cancel, and maybe the phone will come back under the devices.. re PWN itunes and feed the custom ipsw.. ?

my laptop is the only computer i have.
i have unlocked 1.1.3 to 1.1.4 with dev team stuff.
and had unlocked 1.1.4 for about a year :)

iPhone, unlocked.

The phone is on 2.0.2.
I needed an internet connection when itunes attempts to preform a legal activiation. I canceled out, and the phone was in the device list. Ran winpwn all the way through w 700mb partition size. follow instructions on screen.

iTunes takes the custom IPSW (v7.7). it takes a while to restore, but it will. then it'll reboot on its own a few times.
