can i use winpwn 2.0.0.4 with 1.1.3?

Just like it says. I have an unlocked firmware 1.1.3, and i want to upgrade to 2.0.1

Can i just follow the winpwn guide for 2g iphones, or do i need to upgrade to 1.1.4 first?

No, dude.... i have also a 1.1.3 iphone, and you can do directly to 2.0.1 with winpwn 2.0.0.4.

Hi, i just had last night FW 1.1.3 with Ziphone... and after helping me out, Number_41 and others, with the process... i followed BigBoss guide, and evertyhing went very smoothly... i have no errors!!!! works awesome... first try, no errors... put the thing in DFu correctly, gave it a root size of 550 mb, and Set up as a new phone, so i had to sync everything again... but it is perfect!!!!

Yeah, i think that is the one... is the one, i got from the website of WinPwn... but i think that sounds about right...

Oh i was so, terrified yesterday, about all the errors that appeared on other people... and the DFU mode, but it all went very smoothly... not one error... im very happy with my firmware... all is working perfectly, youtube, mail, internet, calls, app store, cydia, etc.

Just make sure of some things...

1.- That you got the right firmware for you iphone/ipod touch.
2.- That you resize the root partition to 550 mb
3.- Do exactly as the steps tell you in the DFU mode (i watched a clock for the 10 seconds. to be more precise).
4.- when restoring... be patient, it will take a while.
5.- Recommend setting up as a new phone, and start re-syncing everything again, just to make sure.

If you need help, with the process let me know... i did everything very carefully!!
And im enjoying app store apps, and cydia apps... without any problems!!

I may give it a shot tomorrow. i have all day to screw with it.

Is there any way i can backup my firmware now, so if things go sour i can reload the backup and have everything the way it was?

And will i be prompted to set up as a new phone? i havent read that anywhere else before.

the thing is like this, when you restore with Itunes the custom 2.0.1 that you have created with WinPwn, after it finishes... the itunes, will come up with a screen that you want to restore from your last backup (your last sync) or set up as a new phone (which it means, start from scratch).

At the same time, this is happening the iphone is booting up and starting the
Unlocking and Flashing thing. So dont do anything until it finishes, cause it will reboot again.

When it reboots again, and you are in the home screen, then my personal opinion is to start from scratch (just to prevent any errors). If you select new iphone, what will happen is that you will put your name, and select everything again, music, photos, videos, configure mail, etc.

Its gonna take a while to get synched everything, but i assure you that it will be worth it!!

Have a clock to make sure you are pressing both buttons for 10 seconds, and then you let go the sleep/wake button, and keep pressing home... until it detects the itunes you are in recovery mode...

Oh make sure, you make the partition size when you do the custom firmware to 550 mb, thats how i did it.
And with no problem, i can connect to installer, cydia and app store...
