Talking Back to pwned 2.0.0 recupareted from Error 6 after itunes update to 2.0.1 with winpwn

Hi, I justa had the same problem

After I had updated to 2.0.1 with itunes by mistake i have been able to get back my iphone to a pwed and fully functional version 2.0.0.

I have to say that the 2.0.1 updated worked great but lost the jailbreak. The reason I tried to go back is because I couldn't turn edge off and it was very expensive since I don't have a data plan.

    My setup is
    Windows Vista
    7.7.1 version of itunes
    latest version of winpwn

Used the tutorial from iclarified.com, ran into some problems and did the following.
1.- Followed the tutorial to build a custom ipsw.
2.- Put the phone in DFU mode follwing iclarified tutotial
3.- Tried to use Itunes to restore the custom ipsw over the unlocked 2.0.1 (FAIL - Error 6) Tried a couple of times with the same result.
    4.- Rebooted the computer
5.- Restored the standard ipsw from itunes (just pushed the restore buttoninstead of the [SHIFT]+Restore option). SUCCESS
    6.- rebooted the computer.
7.- Restored the custom ipsw from itunes. SUCCESS

Now I'm back with a 2.0.0 2gen iphone unlocked, activated and jailbroken with BossPrefs on it to turn edge off.

    Hope this helps

You didn't read what i wrote, did you? I can't putt my phone into DFU mode as i have a broken power button. So the main questions would be finding an way to get it into DFU mode without pressing any button.

on this site, there is a utility to put iPhone in DFU straight from iTunes, so without touching buttoms
it's french, but choose the mac or PC download at the buttom
once installed, just click RESTORE from iTunes, iPhone will be put into DFU mode software-wise

There are no working tools, if you'd read what i posted here, i already tried them.
But i dont need it anymore, as a friend of me had an better trick in hand, which was using a screwdriver to connect the pins and getting the phone into dfu mode. Basically that was the only "tool" which worked

I'm going crazy, i'm getting error 6, I think I managed to get my iphone in DFU because the screen is black when I try restoring, but I still get that error... every time...

    I'm on win Xp
    Itunes 7.7.1.11
    latest Winpwn
    custom 2.0.1 firm...

i'm going from 1.1.4 to 2.0.1 is that a problem?
