[Error 1601 & 1604]
Ok so I'm updating to 2.0 with WinPwn now.
At first I tried it but I got error 1601 so I did a search here and found a thread where someone links to a iphone linux forum for a solution. I tried the solution (Winpwn 2.0.0.1 to pwn iTunes and then use WinPwn 2.0.0.3 for iPhone) I uninstalled 2.0.0.3 and installed 2.0.0.1 . It won't let me create a custom IPSW because it finished and then says it fails. I already have one made from earlier though but when I open that, iPwner and the other options are greyed out.
Any help?
I already tried restoring in DFU and recovery mode. When I did it in recovery mode it gave me error 1604
EDIT: Sorry about title!

actually that doesnt work, if u look on the ziphone one it says that it cannot boot the phone if it is in dfu mode. the solution is to uninstall the 7.7 and everything that has to do with itunes that includes, quicktime, apple software update, and apple mobile device support. then install 7.5 or later and the restore the phone. i had the same problem with a customer's phone and the 1601 and 1602 error appeared when i tried to restore the phone bak to 1.1.4 on 7.7.

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306084 I had 1601 when playing with winpwn 2.0.3. I just unplugged the iPhone and got cable and iTunes logo (was black before). Got into DFU again and continued.
Dont know if this helps, worked for me

I got it to work!
I found the problem too. I used iLiberty+ to boot the iPhone into DFU mode. Whenever I did that I just got error 1601. When I did this I saw the USB cable and iTunes logo with a red background.
Finally, I decided to just follow the iClarified way and connect it to the PC and hold sleepwake button and home button for 10 seconds to boot into DFU mode. This time the screen didn't even come on. I did the shift+restore thing and it worked
