[2G iPhone][Windows]Need to unlock
i was using a 1.1.4 jailbroken iphone and recently it froze and had to restore and update with iTunes 7.7 to 2.0.
Now i cannot use my sim. i am in the uk and the phone was bought in the states. if i insert my AT&T sim it asks me to activate on iTunes.
I haven;t done that as yet.
Can someone help me???

This is why I say that you do not seem to know what U are doing. If you can elaborate a little more what you are trying to do or did ( step by step ) you may get some help. If you just say "I tried to downgrade............." what can U expect others to tell you ??

So I understand you are a legit AT&T user, you shouldn't have problems activating using your AT&T SIM in iTunes.

ok here is the step by step things i did.
First of all ... i bought my iphone in the states and never used it there as i am from the UK. I did a jailbreak and unlocked it and was using my O2 pay as you go sim. Recently my phone froze and i restored and updated it to 2.0. Now it says invalid sim. when i insert my AT&T sim it asks me to activate. Which i haven't done. I want to jailbreak and unlock the phone so i can go back to using it with my O2 sim.
Now to downgrading.
1. I uninstalled itunes 7.7
2. reboot and renamed my itunes folder to something else.
3. installed 7.5
4. downloaded 1.1.4
5. put my phone is recovery mode/ dfu mode....
6. clicked shift and restore and selected the 1.1.4 i downloaded.
7. after a while it comes back with an error.....the iphone cannot be restored. an unknown erroe occured (20)

Do you really wish to downgrade? Wouldn't you prefer to use the iPhone 2.0 software instead?
I would suggest you restore using Apple's 2.0 (upgrade to iTunes 7.7 and just click restore) then use winpwn to do everything else.
EDIT: replaced PwnageTool with winpwn, forgot you are on Vista
