What is it:
A very easy way to create your own ipod/iphone size website reproducing the original apple style. Easy to install even if you don't have HTML knowledge and easy to customize.
Why do i want this:
You want this because using iwebkit you can create your own website! and not only a normal website but a cool mobile website! Impress your friends and familly, Forget about facebook and let people go to your own website . You can set it up in 1 hour maximum.
Yup the most important part...
Well it's free! Donations are appreciated.
Where can i get it?
On my website: iWebKit
Go to that website on your ipod to see what your site will look like. Download the package (http://www.mediafire.com/iwebkit).
Next follow he guide on my website.
Well there are cool themes, Scripts and plugins to add to extend and make your website the best website out there!
am i missing something or is this suppose to be just a website template u edit?
yeah its copy and pastnig in prepared code. You can also use the already built webpages but it's much more fun to hussle around the elements. It's like lego. I give you the bricks and you build your website easily
Doesn't seem worth it... it's not hard to style up a web app anyhow.
it seems tht you have tried hard, and yes it is easy to make an iphone website with Dashcode, but still an independent person is making something to give back to the community. It's also good for windows users who can't get dashcode, they can still make a site. :) good job
First off, thank you. This is very much appreciated.
I have two questions:
1) If I click on a link which opens another app (ie maps), when I go back to the page, everything under the <div id="content"> tag is blank... which is pretty much everything. This also seems to happen when I use the browser back button. If I take the content id out of the div tag, the problem goes away. I've tried taking everything out of the stylesheet that has "content" associated with it and it doesn't help one bit. So I'm a little confused.
2) Is there any way I redirect a user back the webapp after they click on a link that opens an app?
