Glad it worked out for you. One thing to remember is that dtunes also installs the Safari Download plugin. This is what actually causes the problems. Sometimes uninstalling dtunes does not automatically uninstall the plugin, so you should check/uninstall the plugin from Cydia too.

If you remove the safari download plugin from cydia then iplayer works again. I guess this add-on is trying to save any media that safari tries to stream.
There has been a solution suggested to disable the download path in boss prefs temporarily so you can use iplayer but i'm not sure how to do this.
Anyone have any ideas?
