update messed up my working system
I hope someone has an idea what is the problem in my situation. My case is this.
The only reason I started dealing with hackintosh is because I`d like to learn iphone development but I dont have a Mac and not intend to buy one just for this one task. So I install iAtkos v3 which happens without any problem and iTunes recognizes my iphone 3G. This would be nice, but I cannot install the latest iphone development SDK because it requires OSX 10.4 but at this moment I have only 10.3 so I have to run software update which leaves me with 10.6.6 and from here after restart my iphone wouldnt charge or show up in iTunes or xCode organizer.
Started looking for solution and one says delete AppleMobileDevice.kext which I did and after restart my phone charges again and now shows up for example in the picture transfer utility but not in iTunes or Organizer.
I tried to restore the iphone thru recovery mode or DFU mode as well, but it wouldnt work. After the software update I cant restore iphone because it gives me several error messages.
Also read somewhere that the problem could be that system.kext and kernel version dont match but stuck with do anything about it because I couldnt find and answer how to find other version of system.kext.
I dont know what else could I try...
Thanks for any help
Ok, I managed to sort out the problem. Reisntalled the whole system and downloaded the 10.6.4 comboupdate from apple's website. It makes it possible to install the Iphone development SDK without messing up iphone detection.
