    Default Software updates?

I recently attacked my Dell mini10v with snow leopard and its running great!

my question is wether or not i should install the software updated that apple is recommending, ie:

Safari, itunes, java for mac osx 10.6 , security update 2010-003...

should i do these? do i risk making my netbook non functional?

In order for you to update to Snow Leopard 10.6.3 you need to patch you kernel or your system will crash (Kernel Panic). In the Thread below shows you how to do it.

Mac OS X 10.6.3 works fine on Intel Atom

    I hope this can help.

You can use the Automatic Updates for any other updates for your os x.
But, for updating your os x version, I highly recommend to download the combo update version from Apple.

Of course He have to use the Automatic "Software Update" but Because he's using a ATOM Processor, He have to patch the kernel first. In other words, Download the 10.6.3 update and Patch the kernel before rebooting.
