OK, so here is the deal. I am running, in vmware, and "Empire EFI" MAC OS X SNOW LEOPARD 10.6.2 on an AMD set-up.

I have everything installed fine, working as it should, the only issue is that I have to edit a plist file to change the amount of memory I can utilize (it is set to 1gb and want to bump it up to 3gb which I was told to do by editing the com.apple.boot.plist file inside the empireEFI 4 AMD volume) but it will not let me edit it AT ALL. See, my permissions are set to read only and I know my permissions have to be changed in order to do this but for some reason I can not change the permissions at all. I have tried everything i know ( which is not much ) but I just can't get it to work. I am the system admin (yet categorized as "staff" in the "users" part of the system preferences), have all the passwords needed, etc... it just will not let me write and the "permissions" area just stays grayed out. I attached a picture of my desktop if it helps. Any help would awesome at this point cause I am at my wits end!
