Can't get on internet again with my Hackintosh
Hi there,
I recently installed Snowleopard on my Dell Latitude D620 on a 320 Gb WD USB drive.
The install went well, if started up from HD i have a "sluggy mouse or touchpad" but everything else works just fine.
The only problem i encouter is getting on internet with my laptop. Somebody adjusted the driver for my wired networkcard and it got me on the internet once. I downloaded teamviewer and surfed a bit so it definately worked.
After a reboot i just can't get it online again. The cardsettings tells me in my network enviroment "connected" so i assume the driver still works ok, and the settings just don't agree with me.
I have to uncheck IP6v , and then start the assistent, but somehow it just won't work. I am behind a router.
Any suggestions out there?
Kind regards
Fred

Hey Swordman,
Thanx for your reply. If i choose for DHCP i don't get an IP adress. at least none shows. I'll give it a try later-on. My router/modem is certainly on, that isn't the problem. The UTP lights on the back of my Dell shine like the sun.
Thanx

Use the kernel helper.

Does it show Disconnect or....? How about using the DHCP ? Will it show you Self-Assigned IP? Maybe you gotta reinstall your network driver, then add a -f booting flag before you get into the system.
