Slow internet with RTL-8139/8139C/8139C
Howdy all,
My Mac OS X is running fine, I've got currently everything working and all the kexts I needed are installed, however. My internet connection is pretty slow. Software Updates are taking years, Its not going higher then 2 KB/S.
My ethernet device:
02:0f.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ [10ec:8139] (rev 10)
Is there a tweak or hack needed to resume my internet speed on Mac OS X?
Thanks.

Thank you
My friend you are my hero. When I began my search it became obvious I needed the PCGen kext, however it was not clear where it went or even how I was going to get it.
This post was a one-stop-shop to get my dl speeds from 1-4k and pings from 59-3000ms (pinging local router) to 350k and 0.72ms
Bless you
Now back to searching to fix the USB issues!

Thanks Twenty-eight
Hi. I spent some time trying to understand how to improve my LAN and Ethernet connection until I found your post. Followed your instructions and now it's working like a charm. Thanks.
