    Default OSX exclusive?

Now that I got OSX installed and running pretty stable on an ACER netbook, thinking of making OSX the only OS on it ... some pr. etty minor issues remain that hold me back

    1. Wireless- The stock wireless does not work very well ( Atheros chipset ) ... temporarily swapped the card from my work laptop ( a Broadcomm chipset ) which OSX recognises natively ( no workarounds needed ). Unfortunately my work notebook( a HP NC6320 will not work with the Atheros one ( it complains abt an unsupported hardware )

    2. Planning to get a 3G USB stick that uses the cellphone network. Checked that there are native OSX drivers for it ...Will get it when I renew my cable contract ( an extra S$ 15 per month for unlimited 3G data plan at 1 Mbps ) in the next few days

    3. Kernel Panic when system goes to sleep .. minor for me but irritating .. will try to get it to sleep and wake up without a kp

    4. VPN to office network .. My office is using the Activkey to do a remote connect and will find some drivers for OSX ( hopefully ) so can still connect for my office emails and also the SAP client

Starting to like OSX .. maybe in the near future will get a REAL Mac Pro

    Default

Sweet .. getting to like this fake mac more and more ... iLife 09 and iWork 09 installed and work like a charm ... wireless with a Broadcomm also work OOB.. everything now works and kernel panics are rare ... used to have issues with Time machine and that is now licked ... now using VooDoo Power ( replaced the AppleACPIBattery ) and VooDooBattery with GenericCPUPMControl .. no issues with shutdown ... Sleep still an irritant( but minor one ).

only a couple more issues to be tackled ( the VPN to my office network) and to find the OSX SAP client then i'll revamp this ACER AOD150 to run exclusively OSX
