Default Logic 8 no global settings

Hi all , Just recently started having a problem with logic 8 crashing-whenever I try to enter the global settings to try and fix the sample rate issue--I used to have my hackintosh working perfectly before but I crashed it while trying to install chameleon v2 ever since I have re-installed it 10 or more times trying both iatkos v5 and iatkos V6 but I can't figure out why everything else works fine except for the one and only real reason I want mac OsX for and that's logic pro- really frustrating - Anyway I would be really greatful if anyone knows about this issue and could help me out I have searched high and low for a solution but cannot find one-

    my specs are :

    HP pavilion dv5
    intel core duo -(centrino)
    4gb ram
    nivida 9200 M
