Red face I can write and delete on NTFS partition

    Hello,

I have leopard installed on a HD, and got another in the NTFS format windows. I have another IDE HD but it does not recognize.

My problem is that the NTFS partition can not modify any file, just read. Has the power to write, delete files in that partition / HD?

How? And what file format I would have to take it, that is useful for both the MAC and in WINDOWS?

To Write on NTFS you can use Paragon NTFS, To write on Leopard partitions you can use Macdrive, google them and good luck

My opinion is convert all the partitions to Mac type except the Win-partition. This method helps Spotlight does with the best speed to find out what you want.

If you want to use freeware/open-source stuff you could try to go the macfuse + ntfs3g way. Speed is not the very best but for me it does what i need.

I have iDeneb Lite 1.6, updated to 10.5.8, in a dual-boot scheme with Vista. I have installed NTFS-3G 1.5130 and MacFuse 1.7 via MacPorts ... I realize there is a newer Macfuse version, but this is the latest available on MacPorts. Anyway, even after installing these, I still can't write to my NTFS partitions from OS X. What else do I need to do to get it working?
