CPUS=1 and USB Legacy Support problem
Hi,
I have succesfully installed iAtkos v7 on my computer. All runs great, but I have 2 problems.
1. I need to use the CPUS=1 flag. I have searched, but I didn't get to solve anything. I used the DSDT patcher and changed pretty everything on my BIOS (AMI). I installed the ACPI driver with iAtkos. When I disable the ACPI function on the BIOS, OSX will not start. Last time it got stuck at- jnl: Unknown-dev: journal reply done. I don't know what else to do. I would like to virtualize Windows, so the 4 cores could help.
2. This one is not as important. I need to disable USB legacy support in the BIOS. The problem is that when it's activated I need to use a PS2 keyboard to select on OS in the bootloader and change anything in the BIOS. It would be nice to solve it, but it's not crucial. Because of this I can't also install Snow Leopard, as the USB device can't be used without legacy support, but when disabled it won't boot up.
My Specs:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 @ 2.50Ghz
Asus Nvidia 8800GT 1 GB DDR3
4 GB DDR2 @ 800Mhz
MSI G31 7379 mobo
iAtkos v7 (completely updated) 10.5.8 / Windows 7 x64
is it a kernel related problem instead than a BIOs problem? If so what kernel should I select.
thanks, Hugo
