Default answer is bad but not that bad

what you have done has locked your mac up and you will most likely never get it working again.
i have just and i mean just got the one i am typing off back online and heres how.
install osx again but in disk utility before you install partition the drive using the + symbol and create a new one without deleting your other osx partition. then install on the new one and the old when booted will let you just move files back to your new one the wipe your old because bootloader will keep trying to use the old one as default.
if im not clear let me know via email and ill put something together for you to show you in more detail.

I am on 10.5.6 and the updates do work, as long as i don't install the 8800GT driver OSx86 tools advices me to. And when i don't install the updates, the 8800GT drivers work fine.
